All Hallow's Eve

Hello friends, it's my turn over on the 13 arts blog today and seeing that my post was
today, October 31st, I was inspired to create something very dark and a little
bit haunted.

'Follow Your Dreams....'

For my friends that follow my blog, you already know that every once in a while I like to
create something dark, and mysterious with a gothic air about it. I started with a gorgeous paper
called 'Black Cocoa' from the 13 arts Color Basic collection and then layered on lots
of 13 arts mediums, inks and paints. What do you think?

Here is a list of all the 13 arts products I used:

Color Basic 'Black Cocoa'
13 arts Gel Medium
13 arts Clear Gesso
13 arts White Gesso
Stencil 'Happiness'
Ayeeda Paint 'Old Silver'
Ayeeda Shine Powder 'Luster Black'
Ayeeda Paint 'Silver Glitter'
Ayeeda 3D Powder Light Grey
Ayeeda Powder 3D Silver Microspheres
13 arts Mist 'Pearl Blue'
Stickers 'Fly Away'

You can find all these products in the 13 arts online store here.

Well that's my haunted page for tonight....
Here's how we celebrated...my boy was Green Arrow :)

Thanks for the visit,

Lisa xo

'Love' a new layout for 2 Crafty Chipboard

Hello my crafty peeps! I am back to share another page created using some lovely
2 Crafty Chipboard.

'Love'

Okay, my heart skipped a beat or two when I first saw the Rossibelle collection by Prima. Lots of pink, cool vintage patterned papers, and beautiful flowers to match. Then when I saw that some of the vintage ephemera looked like an old ticket that had Leeds and Sheffield printed on it, I knew I had to scrap my grandparents who lived in Rotherham all their lives, a small town not far from Sheffield. I remember the last time I visited them with my parents, we took lots of day trips together around Yorkshire and my sister and I took a train ride to Leeds by ourselves and spent the day walking around the city, beautiful!  Fantastic memories of the last time I ever saw them. I have had this photograph for a while now, and I love how this page turned out, they are such a smart looking couple don't you think?

I created this page using the following 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces:

'Dandelions'
'Ingrid's Frame'
'Fine Words Set 1'

To find out where to purchase 2 Crafty products please go here
and don't forget to check out the blog here.

While my messy white gesso in the background was wet I sprinkled on
some 13 arts Fine Grit just for some added texture, and then I added a
little bit of 13 arts Black Stars glitter.

Thanks for looking!

'Dream Big'

Hello my lovelies, I'm back to share my new layout created with
some fabulous 2 Crafty Chipboard.

'Dream Big'

I love love the title pieces as I'm so bad at adding a title, and it adds a lot to a layout. I painted this
one with black acrylic paint. Some of my most favourite chippies are the butterflies, 2 Crafty
has quite a few to choose from.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Anthea's Butterflies'
'Sharon's Butterflies'
'Dream Big'
'Birds Set'

To visit the blog with loads of cool projects and tutorials please go here.
And to check out the online store or to find a stocklist of stores that carry
our chipboard in your country, please go here.

Here are a few details:

I painted the 'Anthea's Butterflies' with white paint and then lightly stamped
over them in black.

I love adding pieces of fabric to my layouts. Here I have ripped up some my boy's old jeans into
strips, love how it looks all torn up with lots of messy threads.

Big hugs!
Lisa xo

'Me & You'

Happy Monday girls...I was in the mood to create something really really shabby with lots
and lots of pink, so of course I grabbed my September Scraps of Elegance 'Timeless' kit
full of beautiful BoBunny papers and Prima flowers and this is what I created.

'Me & You'

I didn't really like the hearts down the left hand side of this grey paper so I roughly tore off the top and side part, sprinkled the torn paper edges with water to get some really good folds into the paper and then glued it down to the pink paper with a diamond pattern. Using heavy white gesso and a cool stencil with diamond shapes I created some texture on the background. Then I splashed some 13 arts inks (I'm in love with the Pearl Pink 13 arts mist) all around and then added all my layers: some white cheesecloth sprayed with the same pink mist, some torn up papers, some of the BoBunny ephemera pieces and then lots of the pretty Prima flowers.

Don't forget to check out our blog where we post all of our projects done with our kits.
There are always really cool video tutorials too, just to give you even more ideas!
You can find our blog here.
We also have a Facebook group where you can share your work inspired by our kits
you can find that here.

I would like to enter my layout in a challenge that I found on a beautiful blog called
'Mistress Owl'...the challenge is to create something with a wood background.

To visit the challenge please go here.

Here are some details:

LOVE the Prima wooden Alphas that came in the Elements Add On,
and there's a whole big box of them too, perfect for creating a fun title.

Couldn't resist adding a bit of 2 Crafty Chipboard too, here I used a piece called
'Dandelion' and also some 'Foliage Set 1' that I covered in white gesso.

Thanks for looking!

LOVE

Hello girls! I love love to combine orange and blue, it's so fresh and pretty.
There are some really beautiful BoBunny papers and beautiful bright Prima flowers in just these colors in the gorgeous Scraps of Elegance kit called 'Timeless'.

'LOVE'

I started with the 'Bella Rosa' paper called 'Whisper' and then used some of the Graphic 45 paper collection included in the kit called 'Cafe Parisian' in small pieces to create some layers. I also fussy cut some of the orange and blue flowers from the paper called 'Floral Souffle' and tucked them in here and there. I added lots of flowers from the Flower Add On which is a must have if you're purchasing the kit! One can never have enough flowers :)

Here is the September kit:

To purchase our kits, please go here, and don't forget that Scraps of
Darkness has an online store with lots of other products you can find it here.

Some details:

I used some 13 arts mists in Pearl Orange and Chalk Turquoise on my background
and I also added some 13 arts silver microspheres.

Thanks for looking, Lisa xo

'My Story' a new layout for 13 arts Challenge #47

Hi guys!!! I'm back to share the news that it's my turn to host a challenge
over on the 13 arts blog...Challenge #47...'Golden Leaves'.

I can't ever remember looking forward to fall quite as much as this year, it's been
one scorching hot summer down south and I am officially over it.
So....in thinking of a theme for this challenge I look to the coming cool crisp autumn
days filled with long walks to watch the turning leaves into beautiful shades
of gold, rust, orange and red and invite you to be inspired by the beautiful
colors of nature all around us.

'my story'

I started with a piece of 13 arts 'Timeless' paper collection called 'Good Times' and applied lots of thick black 13 arts gesso and then from there just layered on a lot of mists and Ayeeda paints in different colors to work up an interesting background.

Here is the moodboard I designed
 for this month's challenge...

Please go here to visit the 13 arts blog to find out more details on this
challenge, I hope you'll join us!! There is always a great prize to be won
or a chance to be featured on our blog :)

Here are some details:

For a full list of all the 13 arts products I used,
please go here.
And don't forget to check out the 13 arts online store here.

My favourite product to use this time was the Ayeeda Ink 'Gold Glitter'.
I brushed it over everything on my layout to add lots of pretty sparkle,
I think it looks amazing on these real dried leaves that I had picked up on
one of our nature walks :)

Hugs, Lisa xo
