'Documented' a layout for 2 Crafty Chipboard

Hi girls! I am back to share my latest layout designed for
2 Crafty Chipboard.

'Documented'

I found this cool photograph on Pinterest and I fell in love with this young man's expression...
it really inspired me to create something with a vintage masculine look.
You can visit my 2 Crafty Chipboard blog post here,
and don't forget to check out their online store here.

I loved the super delicate 2 Crafty Chipboard called 'Fine Stem Frames'.
I used both the small and large pieces and I love how it made a beautiful frame around my photo.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Vintage Keys'
'Steampunk Gears Medium'
'Steampunk Gears Small'
'Fine Stem Frames'

I treated all my chippies including the large key and the perfect gears by messily painting
them in black acrylic paint and then embossed them in old gold embossing powder, giving them
a metallic aged look.

See you soon,
Love, Lisa xo

'Memories' a new layout for 13 arts

Hi girls! I have another layout to share created for 13 arts using the
super gorgeous paper collection called 'Out of the Blue' designed by the super
talented  13 arts designer Olga Heldwein.

'Memories'

My mum and Dad are here visiting us this month and she brought with her some old family photos for me to scan into my computer, and I'm so happy she did, they really inspire me to scrap something pretty to preserve these tiny pieces of family history. This one is of my mum as a flower girl in her Aunt's wedding. I started with the paper called 'Blue Mood' and covered it in 13 arts clear gesso. Then I applied some 13 arts heavy white gesso through a stencil, and then I used some Ayeeda Splash ink in Matte Blue and some Ayeeda paint in Matte Green to really bring my background to life.
(BTW Ayeeda has been making little pots of  beautiful acrylic paints and inks way before Prima ever did!) I love how you can water down the paints a little to use them like watercolors or use them as they are for a more matte look.

For a full list of 13 arts products I used, please visit my 13 arts blog post here.
And to purchase these amazing products please visit the 13 arts online store here.

I added a few pieces of 2 Crafty Chipboard to my layout as well.

Thanks for looking!
Big hugs, Lisa xo

'Beach'

Hello my crafty girls, I have another layout to share that I created with the
gorgeous August kit from Scraps of Elegance.

'Beach'

So hubby started a brand new job a couple of months ago that requires some traveling, which
he is loving, but it kind of upset our plans to go to Florida this past holiday weekend. It might have been our last chance to go this year, but we'll see, we live so close we might still go for a weekend.
So I haven't had any Florida this year.....(insert lots of frowny faces and tears here.)
But I went and found this photo of me last year on the beach at Amelia Island,
and sometimes you have to just treasure the memories already made :)
This was at the end of a beautiful and relaxing day, and I knew it would work perfectly
with the gorgeous August kit filled with light summery Blue Fern Studios papers,
beautiful flowers, and real sea shells.

Here is a list of everything I used from the 'By The Sea'
Main kit, Flower Add-on, and Elements Add-on:

Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage Collection 'Calling Cards'
Blue Fern Studios Seaside Cottage Collection 'Gala'
Blue Fern Studios 'Seaside Lilies' Flowers
Blue Fern Studios 'By the Sea' Chipboard
Real Seashells
Prima French Riviera Brads
Prima French Riviera 'La Mer' flowers

Don't forget to check out our blog here, or to stop by the online
Scraps of Darkness store here.

Nothing is prettier than using real sea shells in a beachy layout. The
larger ones came with the kit and the tiny ones I bought from a gift shop on
one of our trips, that I attached using some clear gel medium.

I wanted to really emphasize the blues and purples in this paper and
also in my photograph so I applied a thick uneven coat of heavy white gesso
to the background and then used my watercolors to add some pops of color.

See you soon,
Lisa xo

'Smile' a new layout for 13 arts

Hello! Hello! how are my crafty girls? I am up on the 13 arts blog with a layout
all about my little guy.

'Smile'

I took these photos just the other day as we were getting ready for school and I love
the cheeky smile I captured here. I used some 13 arts papers and stickers from the
'Secret Letters' collection...I got all grungy, but just couldn't resist adding a few flowers..
(I know, it's hopeless lol) hey, at least they're blue!
Please check out the 13 arts blog for some amazing projects here,
and you can click here to go to the 13 arts online store, full of cool mixed media
products.

I used lots of 13 arts mediums and stencils on my background, one
of my favourite 13 arts products is the different types of glitter, they
come in different colors and different shapes too. Here I
have used small round shiny black glitter flakes.

I also added some 2 Crafty Chipboard filmstrips painted black.

Thanks for looking,
Lisa xo
