'Imagine'

Hello girls! I'm back to share my latest layout made with my Scraps of Elegance
kit 'Belle Journee'.

I always love the papers in our kits, and here I used the Bo Bunny 'Soiree Collection' for the base paper and all my layers. I also used a Prima flower from the Floral Add On, called 'Maestro', and the Crafters Workshop stencil 'Victorian Sketchbook' from the Main kit. I loved getting messy with lots of white gesso and black ink :)

To find out how to buy our kits please go here.

I used some of my favourite pieces of 2 Crafty Chipboard too, 'Corner Thick Vine'
and 'Lacey Signpost'. Check out the 2 Crafty Chipboard blog here.

Have you visited the amazing challenge blog called 'More than Words'?
I saw the challenge for June was to 'get messy' (which I LOVE to do) and to use the
word 'Imagine'...I can do that! I am really awful at adding titles to my layouts but I found
the perfect die to fit this page :)

'Journey'

Hi girls! I'm back to share my latest projects for 2 Crafty Chipboard.

'Journey'

I loved these photos that I found on Pinterest, and the very first chippie that came to mind is the beautiful 'Moroccan Panel'. I painted this and the title piece 'Journey' in white gesso, and then using a dry brush, added some ink in 'Vintage Photo'. You can see my 2 Crafty post here.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Journey'
'Mini Branches'
'Moroccan Panel'
'Film Strip Small'

I would like to enter my layout in Challenge No. 126 on one of my
favourite crafty blogs Kiev Skrapclub. I was inspired by the exotic mood of the photos,
the colors of the sea, blue and brown, and especially the photograph in the top right corner of the mood board.
More details about the challenge here.

'Stars and Stripes'

Hi girls! It's time for some mid-month inspiration with a gorgeous new
color palette from Words & Painterly!

'Stars and Stripes'

I'm not going to lie girls...this color combo was tough!!!! As usual, (I hate it but it's true) I had left this layout until the last moment, and I really didn't know what I was going to do, but I pulled out some Bobunny papers and some 2 Crafty Chipboard and just tried not to overthink it :)
Sometimes the layouts I struggle with turn out to be my favourites! Does that ever happen to you?

Here is the June challenge:

You can find more details about the challenge here.

I used a piece of some of my son's old jeans in the background,
love the deep blue color of the denim,
and what's more American than a pair of Levi's?

The prompt this month is 'Be Proud of your Country'...and even though it's very unfashionable these days to be a proud American, I don't give a s***, ....I am! I came to the United States - (by myself)- looking for a fresh start in my life with a couple hundred bucks, two suitcases and a whole lot of hopes and dreams, all of which I have worked very hard to have come true. That's the beauty of my country, you can be anything you dare to be, all it takes is hard work and determination and you'll get there :)

I used some 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces here, one called 'Cassies's Flourish'
and some pieces of another called 'Stars' that I painted with some watercolors
and then lightly stamped.

I hope I inspired you to be proud! and show us your interpretation of the challenge :)

'girls'

Hello lovelies, I hope you all have had an amazing weekend!
I had so much fun creating another layout with my May Scraps of Elegance kit called 'Soiree'.

'girls'

I just went full-on vintage for this one...I couldn't help myself! Aren't these papers beautiful????
I did some masking in the background with heavy white gesso, and also some of the Prima black gesso, then I used some Lindy's mists and then added layers using the BoBunny papers from the kit, some ribbon, lace, thread and lots of flowers, what do you think?

I would like to enter my layout in a challenge called 'Retromania 16' on one of my
favourite vintage style blogs called 'Retro Kraft Shop'.....

more on the challenge here.

I added lots of the US ArtQuest Prills in 'Minnie Pearls', love, love! the texture this
adds to my background.

You can purchase our kits at the online Scraps of Darkness store that you can find here.
They sell out super quick, especially the Flower Add ons!
And don't forget to follow the Scraps of Darkness blog here.

Oh my goodness I loved these keys! I altered them by embossing them all with some copper and gold Stampendous embossing powders that came in a previous kit and then rubbed around the edges with some of the Prima black gesso that came in the Creativity Add-on just to give it a dramatic aged look, I love how they turned out. At the end I sprinkled on some Prima gold mica powder to tie everything together with the gold in my photo.

I also used the Prima Salvage District mint green flowers called 'Palais Royal', and a piece from the Prima Relics and Artifacts 'Tangerine Berry' Flowers both from the Flower Add on and one of the Prima French Riviera 'Marseilles' white flowers from the main kit.

Thanks for looking....see you soon,
Lisa xo

'Vera'

Good morning girls....I have another layout to share today that I designed
for the Russian blog Studio Leto.

'Vera'

I won a challenge on this beautiful blog a while back and they invited me be to be a Guest Designer.
They have a wonderful challenge with the theme 'Adults and Children'.
You can see my feature here.

As a designer at Scraps of Elegance, I also purchase the Scraps of Darkness kit every month, as it's always full of such beautiful papers, flowers and embellishments. I created this layout with the May kit called 'Soulshine' which had the latest Blue Fern Studios collection 'Tranquillity'. Words can't describe how much I love the beautiful vintage look of this collection!  I'm really in my element
with these gorgeous rich designs. So perfect for scrapping precious family photos.
You can find this kit and these papers in the online Scraps of Darkness store here.

Here are a few close ups:

I used a few little goodies that my crafty bestie sent me on this layout, some pretty lace
and also a few paper clay buttons that I colored with my Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in
purple and black....I think I'm going to have to try these out myself!
Thank you so much Lady J :)

I also added a few pieces of my favourite 2 Crafty Chipboard called 'Leafy Shrub Set'.

A big warm welcome to all my new blog followers...Thank you so much for your interest!
I'm so glad you're here! Feel free to leave me any comments or questions, I'd love to hear from you...
